What the official site says
The official franchise page states that the Rameshwaram Cafe is not offering franchises at present. It warns about fake websites, fake letterheads, fake ID cards and bank accounts used by people pretending to represent the brand, and says it does not collect deposits or appoint franchisees through phone calls, agents or third-party websites.
Rameshwaram Cafe franchise cost
There is no official Rameshwaram Cafe franchise cost, because the brand says it is not selling franchises. Any website quoting a franchise fee, investment amount or royalty for this brand is not quoting an official figure. Do not rely on these numbers and do not pay anyone based on them.
In a December 2023 interview, the founders described a tightly controlled partner model and said they pick very few applicants out of thousands of requests. That was a description of how they think about growth, not an open offer.
Real franchise scams
Fake franchise offers have cost people serious money. In one reported case, a businessman from Raipur lost about Rs 56.26 lakh between January and February 2026 to callers who claimed to represent the brand's franchise team. A complaint was filed at Ganj police station on 16 February 2026.
Lookalike web addresses also exist. The domain therameshwaramcafe.com is a parked "launching soon" page, and therameshwaram.cafe is another similar address. The site linked from the brand's Instagram is therameshwaramcafe.org.
How to verify
- Type therameshwaramcafe.org into your browser yourself. Do not click links in ads or messages.
- Read the franchise page there. As of October 2026 it says no franchises are being offered.
- Cross-check that the site is the one linked from the brand's official Instagram, @therameshwaramcafe.
- Contact the brand only through the details on that official site. This guide does not give out franchise contacts.
- If you have already paid someone, report it to your local police and the national cybercrime helpline or portal.
Be especially careful with search ads and social media pages that use the brand's name. A site can look professional and still be fake.
About this guide

Are any outlets franchised?
The brand has not said publicly which outlets, if any, are run with partners. What is clear is the current position: no new franchises are being offered. You can see the list of real outlets on the branches page, which also flags lookalike names that are not on the brand's list.
Why this brand attracts franchise fraud
The Rameshwaram Cafe is a well-known name with long queues and heavy media coverage, which makes it an easy hook for fraudsters. Searches for its franchise cost are common, and fake sites and callers target people who are ready to invest. Scammers often copy the brand's logo and photos, create documents that look official, and ask for a "registration" or "security" payment to lock in a location.
Because the brand says it is not offering franchises at all, any such request is a red flag on its own. You do not need to judge whether the paperwork looks genuine.
If you are approached
- Do not pay anything, even a small token amount.
- Do not share Aadhaar, PAN or bank details with the caller.
- Save the phone number, website address, messages and any documents sent to you.
- Check the official site directly and report the attempt to the police if money was asked for.
